About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support our students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide individualized support to students, helping them with coursework and developing their understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and learning experiences.
  • Provide individualized support to students, helping them with coursework and developing their understanding.
  • Work with students who have additional needs, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement they need to thrive.
  • Help manage classroom behavior, creating a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to track and report student progress.

Requirements:

  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
  • Previous experience in a classroom or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • An understanding of the secondary school curriculum is a plus.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., GCSEs, A-levels, or equivalent) and a willingness to learn and develop.
