About the Role

National Highways is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to support the management of its Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management system. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the system is legally compliant, relevant, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the creation of content for the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System.
  • Provide technical advice regarding the content of the system.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of content, aligning with other relevant National Highways policies and procedures.
  • Manage communication of revisions, amendments, and updates to the system.
  • Champion document control and challenge 'local' solutions.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Applied knowledge and experience of UK H&S Legislation.
  • Practical experience in the creation, implementation, and revision of management arrangements and systems.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to critical timescales.
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels.
