We are seeking an experienced director of building surveying to join our building surveying and specialist services leadership team in Scotland.
The successful candidate will lead our busy team of building surveyors, CDM advisors, quality control, and PFI advisors, covering all aspects of professional and project-related services across the private and public sector.
The role involves assisting in the management of client and project teams to deliver building surveying and specialist services profitably and on time to a wide range of clients.
The full spectrum of building surveying and specialist services will be covered, including design and specification, clerk of works, contract administration, building surveys, dilapidations, principal designer, and specialist PFI advice.

Key Responsibilities:- Managing and supporting the team engaged on existing commissions
- Developing and improving the performance of the team; formulating and implementing a local growth plan in consultation with senior directors
- Managing the recruitment, supervision, and development of staff within the allotted teams and liaising with line managers
- Implementing and monitoring relevant administration systems as well as standards for customer care
- Managing the administration of the teams, ensuring that facilities and working practices follow company guidelines
- Undertaking responsibility for compliance with the company's health and safety policy and other relevant policies
