The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to join our Defence team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing supportability expertise to various business functions, including engineering, project management, and sales. Your primary activities will include carrying out new and in-service product and system supportability analysis, providing high levels of confidence in our capability to meet internal and external customer ILS support requirements, and sustaining the growth of the service and support function within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering the ILS service support offering across key business functions to ensure they meet whole life cost targets and project/service profitability.
  • Determining, developing, and delivering project ILS strategies, plans, and reports in conjunction with the relevant service and project deliverables.
  • Working with engineering, production, and supply chain to provide product and system supportability reporting and assurance through the application of relevant ARM&T principles.
  • Owning and managing the Service and support ILS responses to Customer Requests for Proposal (RFP), Invitations to Tender (ITT), Statements of Work (SoW), Tender Assessments, and Contract Specifications.

Requirements

  • Degree or HND/HNC qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering or with relevant experience in the Defence Industry.
  • Experience contributing to bid responses, understanding customer requirements, estimating costs, and providing bid content such as ILS/IPS plans.
  • Experience in the service support of low volume, high-value products and systems in a highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of the application of through-life support standards such as DEF STAN 00-600, 00-40, 00-42, Mil Std 217F, and KiD.
