Digital Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Digital Engineering Lead at Laing O'Rourke. In collaboration with the Lead Digital Engineer, you will be instrumental in the development and deployment of digital systems and processes to facilitate our digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities will center around supporting the project team in the successful implementation of various digital initiatives, including leveraging data, 3D modeling, and visualization for design, manufacturing, and construction purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the setup and execution of Digital Engineering across project phases.
  • Support the development of team members in Digital Engineering practices.
  • Drive project-specific digital solutions in alignment with industry standards.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to advance BIM strategies.
  • Promote best practices and contribute to the enhancement of Digital Engineering services.
  • Mentor team members to ensure consistent delivery standards.
  • Manage and develop project BIM models.
  • Collaborate with the Technical team on BIM coordination.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders to achieve digital project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with QA procedures and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve digital delivery and project efficiency.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Training experience to support digital literacy.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk products such as Revit, AEC Suite, and Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 Part 1 – 5.
  • Experience in model authoring, drawing production, and BIM data management.
  • Ability to work full-time at the project site.
  • Willingness to travel for project-related events.
  • Skills in coding languages like Dynamo, Python, and Power Automate.
  • Proficiency in software including Solibri, Assemble, Trimble Connect, and Power BI.
  • Teamwork and management experience.
  • Recognized BIM Qualification and BIM Professional Certification.
