Ecology Position in Rail Industry

We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our team in Hampshire/Surrey Borders. This permanent role comes with a salary of £40,000 - £47,000 + company car.

As an ecological specialist, you will work on rail and civil engineering projects, delivering solutions for clients and ensuring compliance with regulations.

About You:

  • Hold a degree in ecology or a related field and have substantial experience in the field.
  • Be a member of CIEEM and possess in-depth knowledge of UK protected species.
  • Hold a current PTS training certification and have a proven track record of working on rail projects.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license for travel.

Key Duties:

Carry out field-based study work on UK railways, frequently in challenging weather conditions and potentially at night.

Work from our base in North West Hampshire, near the Surrey Border, and travel to sites without transport links as needed.
