Financial Accounting Manager

Project People is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Manager to join our team in Reading. As a key member of our Financial Accounting Function, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class accounting through efficient processes and effective management of external service providers.
This role reports into the Senior Accounting Manager and sits within the Financial Accounting Function. You will be part of a team of 4 that looks after the accounting for the shared network with EE and Retail estate, both of which are administered by external service providers and report under IFRS 16 and IAS 17.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting for the shared network with EE and Retail estate, ensuring compliance with IFRS 16 and IAS 17.
- Develop and implement efficient accounting processes to deliver best-in-class accounting.
- Collaborate with external service providers to ensure effective management and delivery of accounting services.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the team.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ICAEW) with at least 3 years PQE.
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of IFRS 16 or IAS 17.
- Experience of managing external and internal stakeholders.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
