Senior DO-254 Certification Engineer

Shorterm Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior DO-254 Certification Engineer to lead hardware certification efforts and ensure regulatory compliance in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee compliance planning and determination of means of compliance for assigned projects and products.
  • Review development artefacts and perform certification audit pre-assessments of both internal projects and external suppliers.
  • Conduct audits of project/product artefacts and verification activities to assess compliance with the certification basis.
  • Provide support to Customer AR/Regulatory Authority audits and collaborate with Integrated Project Teams to resolve audit findings/actions/observations.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance, coaching, and development for less experienced engineers within the certification team and broader engineering community.
  • Develop and implement training modules as necessary to elevate the knowledge and skills within the team.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in hardware certification engineering, with a focus on DO-254 standards within safety-critical environments, particularly in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience working with regulatory compliance related to Advisory Circular 20-152 and RTCA/DO-254.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
