Job Title: Advanced Adult Diabetes Inpatient Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Adult Diabetes Inpatient Specialist Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Diabetes Inpatient Team, providing high-quality care and support to patients with diabetes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all diabetes medications are prescribed promptly and administered in a safe, timely, and appropriate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical excellence and supervision to the Band 6 DISN team
  • Support the 7-day service Inpatient workload
  • Hold and respond to bleeps from ED and AAU to assist in preventing admissions
  • Work collaboratively with the Inpatient Team to provide structured service to SDEC
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diabetes care and experience working in an inpatient setting. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
