Job Title: Scheduler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Scheduler to join our team at Metroline Ltd. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and developing efficient and effective timetables and schedules that meet the requirements of the franchise and service delivery needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Compile and implement timetables and driver/vehicle schedules that meet franchise agreement and business requirements.
  • Ensure timely production of timetables and driver/vehicle schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery Team and Depot Management Team to introduce temporary schedules to minimize delays due to long-term disruptions.
  • Provide information/data regarding schedules as required, including reporting on service change impacts to internal and external partners.
  • Prepare and dispatch schedules/duty cards, both paper-based and electronic.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with computer-based scheduling software.
  • Understanding of financial and costing procedures.
  • Knowledge of Domestic Driving Hours Regulations.
Competencies and Skills:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing industry demands.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
Working Hours:

Basic 38 hours per week with flexibility required for hours/days worked, including weekends, in line with operational requirements.
