Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician at the Royal London Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for managing the ward-based team of Pharmacy Technicians, pre-registration pharmacy technicians, and Medicines Management pharmacy assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the medicines management pharmacy technicians (MMTs) in the promotion and development of ward-based pharmacy technician services.
- Assist pharmacists in ensuring that patients' pharmaceutical care needs are met at ward level, including non-stock supply, re-use of patients' own drugs, discharge planning, patient counselling, and provision of compliance aids.
- Develop the service and roles of the medicines management technicians in conjunction with the clinical pharmacy team.
- Work closely with the Deputy Head of Pharmacy and the Site Lead Pharmacy Technician (SLPT).
