Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at oilandgas. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works on Mechanical / HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Fault Finding and Repair: Identify and repair faults on Mechanical / HVAC systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  2. Supply Chain Management: Ensure adequate supplies of critical spares and consumable stock are maintained to facilitate a first-time fix on all Mechanical / HVAC equipment.
  3. PPM and Reactive Tasks: Carry out routine PPMs and reactive tasks throughout the building, highlighting areas for improvement and ensuring that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied.
  4. Method Statements and Risk Assessments: Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
  5. Client Relationships: Develop a good working relationship with all members of the oilandgas team, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate digital records to allow trend analysis and ensure that all plant rooms under our responsibility are locked at all times and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  7. Sub-Contractor Management: Supervise and monitor sub-contractor works while they are on site undertaking maintenance.
  8. Health and Safety: Ensure tasks are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness and implementation, and operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with client/CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.
  9. Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks as directed by the account management team.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: Formally trained or apprenticeship as a Mechanical Engineer (City & Guilds Qualification), NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing/Heating or equivalent, and a recognised Health and Safety Qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH preferred).
  2. Experience: Demonstrate previous experience in fault finding with various systems (mechanical & electrical), strong problem-solving skills, technically adept and analytical.
  3. Skills: Must be able to read and work to mechanical and electrical schematic drawings, and have a good all-round knowledge of general building services, diagnostic and repair procedures.
