Personal Development Educator

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Development Educator to join our team at GSL Education - Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on students' personal, social, and emotional growth.

About the Role

This position involves fostering a safe and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to explore and discuss personal and social issues. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Personal Social Development (PSD), PSHE, or a related subject, and possess a strong understanding of the challenges young people face and strategies to support their development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to explore and discuss personal and social issues.
  • Equip students with practical skills for managing real-life challenges, including communication, teamwork, and decision-making.
  • Assess and track students' development, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support students' personal and social growth.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Personal Social Development (PSD), PSHE, or a related subject.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges young people face and strategies to support their development.
