About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our team at an Alternative Provision Centre in Bromley. As an Academic Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting young people across Key Stages 3 and 4 who require additional help with their motivation and learning.

About the School:

The school is a specialist Alternative Provision Centre that provides education for students who cannot access mainstream schooling due to various reasons. Our curriculum focuses on equipping students for reintegration, further education, and employment, giving them a chance to succeed beyond their schooling years and into adulthood.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with strong behaviour management skills and a patient, calm classroom manner. You should have experience teaching within an alternative provisions environment or a secondary school setting, with a proven track record of helping students reintegrate into mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students on a 1:1 or classroom basis with their motivation and learning.
  • Assist students in activities that promote independence and facilitate their reintegration into mainstream school.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-professional team to provide holistic support to students.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive comprehensive training, ongoing support, and opportunities for career development within our organisation.
