Service Manager

At Two Saints, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Service Manager to lead our recovery team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people leaving care.
The successful candidate will have a calm and personable manner, with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle potentially difficult situations. They will be responsible for managing a team of recovery staff, supporting them to achieve their potential through regular supervision and coaching.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the team to achieve their potential through regular staff supervision and coaching
- Be involved in the recruitment of team members, including relief staff and volunteers
- Attend relevant meetings regarding young people or with stakeholders/commissioners
- Collate and produce reports as required
- Ensure staff are supporting young people in areas such as substance use, health and wellbeing, life skills, money management and managing their tenancies
- Work with external partners to maximise opportunities available to young people
- Help maintain a welcoming, safe environment, identifying and minimising risks to all young people, visitors and the building
- Manage young people and visitors in external areas and associated safety issues
- Carry out quality checks on young people's support records to ensure organisational standards are upheld
- Ensure Health & Safety checks are completed and information is recorded accurately on internal systems
- Follow organisational policies and procedures
- Ensure an effective and timely response to complaints and
- Ensure young people are kept safe, working within organisational and local authority safeguarding procedures
- Attend supervision, appraisal, training and meetings as directed
- Work flexibly across all areas of operation where required
- Be part of the on-call service for Wokingham Services
- Any other reasonable task as requested by a member of staff

- Experience of working in a residential or institutional setting
- Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies
