Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support and guidance to pupils on a 1:1 basis within schools in Cheltenham. Recent years have seen a significant focus on addressing adverse childhood experiences and their impact on pupils' mental health.
This full-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with pupils in a range of schools, providing support and guidance to enhance their wellbeing and academic performance. Your experience working with pupils in school or alternative settings is desirable, but not essential.
We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure your success in this role. You will be involved in classroom activities and may also run programs outside the classroom to promote pupil wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Work closely with pupils to identify areas of need and develop strategies to improve wellbeing
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver effective support and interventions
