About the Role

The Role:

Our Tanker Services division provides a range of waste management services to customers across the country. As a growing division, we are seeking a Senior Regional Tanker Driver to join our busy Midlands region.

As a Senior Regional Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for the safe removal of waste from customer sites and the delivery of non-potable water. You will ensure that tankers are in a safe working position prior to emptying and follow all environmental and health and safety regulations.

You will be based out of a local depot and travel throughout the region to cover for sickness and holidays, or where additional resource is required. You will also be responsible for training new and existing 26t Tanker Drivers on safe delivery practices and collection of liquid waste.

Within this role, you will supervise a team of 26t tanker drivers within a defined region. You will work closely with the logistics team and head of tanker services to motivate and develop the team to create a customer-focused approach, ensuring training is up to date and processes are adhered to at all times.

About You

Successful applicants should demonstrate:

  • Significant experience working within an HGV driving role
  • Experience working within the welfare industry is desirable
  • Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed and valid Digital Tachograph card
  • People supervision experience within the driving/hire industry is preferable
  • An understanding of health and safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage customer queries in a professional manner
