Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in the North Devon area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and directing all manufacturing activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct all manufacturing activities, including operational activities.
  • Manage KPIs, assess performance, and ensure cost and quality targets are met.
  • Ensure production is compliant with policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement of production, quality, and overall performance.
  • Work on developing budgets and resource plans.
  • Address Environmental, Health, and Safety issues and ensure all issues are addressed.
  • Ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met.
  • Work with design teams to ensure the new production implementation phase is as smooth as possible.

Requirements:

  • Experienced operational/production manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts.
  • Proven experience of leading teams and working with cross-functional departments.
  • Ideally experience working in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience with all concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
