Examiner Role at Pearson

We are seeking a highly skilled Examiner to join our team at Pearson, responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our assessment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To mark scripts accurately and consistently, adhering to our conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
  2. To submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times, ensuring the quality of our assessment processes.
  3. To ensure milestones for marking are met, maintaining the overall standards of our examinations.
  4. To complete all administrative tasks as specified, supporting the smooth operation of our assessment processes.

Requirements:

  1. You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, in the relevant qualification subject, since qualifying as a teacher.
  2. You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
  3. You will be a qualified teacher with a high level of subject knowledge in GCSE French.
  4. You will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Additional Information:

As an Examiner, you will be working on a freelance basis, marking scripts from the comfort of your own home. You will receive comprehensive training and support to ensure your success in this role.
