Job Overview

Salt Recruitment is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Specialist to support the integration and optimization of financial processes and systems for a leading local government client.

This is a critical role that requires expertise in ContrOCC and Liquidlogic, as well as a strong understanding of financial transaction systems.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the refinement and optimization of financial processes between ContrOCC and Liquidlogic, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial management across the organization.

  • Collaborate with business teams to identify and address financial process gaps and technical issues.
  • Develop and implement improved financial processes between Liquidlogic and ContrOCC.
  • Recommend and test system changes, ensuring smooth transition from development to live implementation.
  • Enable key financial reports for forecasting spend and monitoring budget impact.
  • Identify and address training gaps in collaboration with the Business and Digital Services Team.
  • Ensure issues are promptly logged and resolved, and changes do not disrupt existing financial imports/exports to systems like BAM Portal and ERP.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, reporting risks, progress, and issues to the Project Manager and Programme Management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Extensive experience with ContrOCC and Liquidlogic platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial management processes and how they integrate across different systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders and ensure clear reporting of risks and progress.
  • High-level proficiency with IT, particularly in using MS 365 products.
