Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at ICW Group - Building Warranties & Building Control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reconciliation and Analysis
    • Reconcile revenue, drawdowns, and commissions between Sage and CMS systems.
    • Manage creditors reconciliation and investigate unallocated funds with the Finance Administrator.
    • Process monthly 'drawdown' process, including cashsheets and BDXs.
  • Management Accounting
    • Prepare management accounts for multiple group companies, updating templates and analyzing nominal ledger accounts.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain fixed asset schedules.
    • Submit management accounts to the GFC for review.
  • VAT Returns and Compliance
    • Process daily VAT code checks and manage VAT accurately.
    • Perform monthly VAT control account reconciliations and calculate fuel scale charges.
    • Prepare quarterly VAT returns for VAT-registered companies in the group.
  • Year-End Accounts and Audits
    • Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
    • Prepare year-end accounts and reconciliations.
    Requirements:
    • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
      • Sage 50 or similar accounting system experience.
      • CMS system knowledge and processing of transactions pre- and post-trial balance experience.
      • Good understanding of P&L and Balance Sheets.
      • Year-end audit experience.
    • Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
      • Previous experience working in an FSA company or the Insurance sector.
      • Strong commercial awareness.
      • Autoentry or similar software experience.
