About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team in Staffordshire, UK. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading assessments for admissions to our service, providing clinical leadership, and participating in service development.

This is a full-time opportunity with 37.5 hours per week. You will work closely with our junior doctors, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and other professionals to deliver high-quality care to young people with severe or complex mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the multidisciplinary team in assessments for admissions, weekly ward rounds, family meetings, case reviews, and discharge planning.
  • Practice evidence-based care through national standards and guidelines.
  • Provide supervision to junior doctors and participate in external reviews, liaison with NHSE, and National Networks.
Requirements
  • MRCPsych (Required)
  • CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Required)
  • Approved Clinician and Section 12 Approved (Required)
  • Evidenced-based practice
  • Confidence in engaging internal and external stakeholders
