The Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife Care Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered Midwife to take on a key role in providing supportive care to women throughout all stages of pregnancy and childbirth.

About the Role
In this position, you will be expected to provide expert midwifery care to women in various settings, including hospitals and community-based services. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that women have access to high-quality midwifery support, expertise, and advice 24/7.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supportive care to women throughout all stages of pregnancy and childbirth.
  • Take charge of a ward or equivalent sphere of midwifery regularly.
  • Maintain active NMC registration, meeting all revalidation requirements.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Appropriate registration with NMC.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Completion of the new Midwives competency programme - if applicable.
  • Evidence of recent CPD.

Salary and Benefits
This is a Band 6 position, offering a competitive salary of £36,640 per annum, plus benefits such as pension scheme, health insurance, and paid annual leave. The estimated salary range is £40,000 - £50,000 based on experience and location.
