Senior Temporary Works Engineer

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Temporary Works Engineer to join their team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in temporary works engineering, particularly in underground structures and tunnelling.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and mentorship of the team
- Support the tendering team in developing construction methodology
- Lead projects through the pre-construction design phase and construction phase
- Manage KPIs to tight programme dates
- Understand and apply health and safety regulations, design risk assessment processes in line with CDM H&S regulations
- Coordinate external consultants and third-party checkers
- Liaise with clients and project construction teams
- Aid tender bids when required
- Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and are checked and approved following company quality procedures
- Report writing for client communication and statutory authorities design approvals
- BEng or MEng level in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or similar discipline
- Working towards chartership, such as the ICE or IStructE
- 5+ years' experience with expertise in underground structures / tunnelling temporary works
- Design consultancy environment
- High level of technical skill with accomplished structural design skills
- Good geotechnical knowledge
- Ability to support, mentor, and develop junior engineers within the team
- Sound knowledge of CDM H&S regulations
- Excellent written English language and grammar
- Salary: £55k - £75k
- 23 days' holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays
- Discretionary company bonus
