Graduate Structural Engineer

Location: Stroud

Salary: up to £30,000

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a bright graduate with a keen interest in structural design to join a successful civil and structural design consultancy near Stroud. As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will work on a variety of projects, including steel design, from conception to completion. Our current workload spans across utilities, telecoms, rail, and highways.

Our client offers an excellent training programme, allowing you to work on design, project management, drafting, and all aspects of the design environment. You will receive a highly competitive salary, including pension contribution and bonus schemes, plus 25 days leave excluding bank holidays. Our client provides a supportive and creative environment with friendly, engaging staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Strong degree in civil or structural engineering (2:1 or first class MEng preferable).
  2. Previous experience in steel design modules at University would be beneficial.
  3. Working knowledge of CAD would be advantageous, although not essential.
  4. Hard-working approach to work.
  5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Close proximity to Gloucester would be beneficial, but relocation is also considered.

Commutable locations: Bristol, Bath, Cirencester, Cheltenham, etc.
