Service Care Solutions - Legal is seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team in a Senior role.

ROLE: Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer (must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister)

RATE: £50-£55ph

LOCATION: Remote

CONTRACT LENGTH: Ongoing

Job Summary:

The Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer will be responsible for handling Adult Social Care legal files from start to completion, with a focus on Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard challenges and s16 applications in the Court of Protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with Adult Social Care legal files from start to completion
  • Provide expert advice on Mental Capacity Act matters, including Ordinary Residence disputes, Care Act duties, and Mental Health Act matters
  • Oversee the whole process of each case from pre-proceedings through to completion of the final hearing
  • Assist in other areas of Adult Social Care as required

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of PQE in Adult Social Care Law
  • Understanding of the structural framework of Local Authority Law and experience working at a Local Authority
  • Ability to deal with own caseload independently and assist others with theirs
