Job Title: Operations Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team at Ritz Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Shipping & Operations Manager in operational functions, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer requests, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders for smooth coordination of all transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage shipments, including negotiation and execution of best freight options
  • Track and recover additional shipping costs, such as wasted journeys and demurrage
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues arising from suppliers, customers, financial institutions, and operations
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders
  • Coordinate administrative functions, including creation of shipments, orders, and purchase orders, as well as weighbridge information data entry and upload of loading documentation
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role in the shipping industry, particularly in freight forwarding
  • Competent in spoken and written English language
  • Highly motivated and quality of results orientated
  • Able to work within timeframe constraints and manage multiple tasks in a continuous improvement environment
