Job Title: Farm Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Manager to lead the development and management of our heritage farm at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and providing a high-quality visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement farm management plans to ensure the efficient and sustainable operation of the farm.
  • Oversee the care and management of our livestock, including heavy horses and cattle, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Manage and maintain farm equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Provide a high-quality visitor experience, ensuring that visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience on the farm.
  • Work collaboratively with our heritage site team to develop and deliver educational programs and events.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in farm management, with a strong understanding of agricultural practices and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Good computer literacy and numeracy skills, with experience of using farm management software.
  • Relevant degree or industry-recognised qualification in a related field.
