Job Title: GIS Manager

OXBO is seeking a skilled GIS Manager to join their development team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial part in the development of Solar & BESS projects by carrying out initial site screening, constraints mapping, and managing the portfolio database information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mapping of projects to provide solutions in support of the Development team in the process of site feasibility and development.
  • Providing solutions to enable potential site selection based on spatial analytics.
  • Providing map-based reports used across the organization.
  • Supporting the development of site plans for planning and legal purposes.
  • Managing of database systems and tracking progression of the portfolio of sites across the business.
  • To provide input on the wider use of GIS across the organisation in the support of development and operational sites.
  • Developing Software as a Service solutions for strategy development and integration with other services used across the company.
  • Developing integrated solutions with third party GIS specialists.
  • Co-ordination and management of mapping procurement, in conjunction with the in-house CAD team.

Requirements:

  • Experienced at using the full suite of ESRI products including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGis Pro and ArcGis Online.
  • Competent in scripting and modelling processes within the ESRI environment including use of Python.
  • Competent at creating web-based mapping solutions.
  • Experience of working with data sets using OS Mastermap, Land Registry data and multiple environmental data sets.
  • Knowledge and use of QGIS and Google Earth Pro and delivering data sets for use in these products.
  • Knowledge of the electricity, gas and water networks would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of data visualization software (especially Power BI) would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage.
  • Good time management and planning skills essential.
