Production Manager Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to support the expansion and succession plans of our established, family-owned manufacturing company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Lead and manage production staff to enhance team performance and productivity
* Plan and schedule production activities to meet business demands and optimize costs
* Monitor production metrics such as Productivity, Utilization, and OEE
* Identify and drive Continuous Improvement and Lean projects in the production department
* Manage equipment maintenance programs to ensure safety and quality standards are met
* Prepare business cases for equipment procurement and other production investments

**Future Development Opportunities**

This role offers scope for further responsibility in areas such as:

* Purchasing and materials management
* Production control

**Requirements**

* Minimum of three years of experience in production supervision/management within a manufacturing environment
* Preferably, experience in sheet metal fabrication or a similar industry
* Qualifications in engineering, lean manufacturing, or business are advantageous
* Familiarity with quality, environmental, and safety management systems is a plus

**What We Offer**

* Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000, based on experience and qualifications
* Profit-sharing bonus scheme
* Flexitime and 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing to 35 days with service
