Physiotherapist Clinical Specialist for Stroke

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team in Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist physiotherapy clinical leadership for the development of integrated rehabilitation pathways for stroke and brain injury.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist for Stroke, Adult Rehabilitation Clinical Lead/Professional Leads, and Stroke Service managers to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care. You will be responsible for providing specialist physiotherapy clinical leadership, developing and implementing integrated rehabilitation pathways, and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to support patients along the stroke pathway.

Main Duties of the Job

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing specialist physiotherapy clinical leadership for the development of integrated rehabilitation pathways for stroke and brain injury
  • Working closely with our Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist for Stroke, Adult Rehabilitation Clinical Lead/Professional Leads, and Stroke Service managers to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Developing and implementing integrated rehabilitation pathways in line with recognised best practice and the evidence base
  • Collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team to support patients along the stroke pathway
