Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Physiotherapist Specialist to join our team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and a specialist interest in lower limb orthopaedics.

About the Role

The Advanced Physiotherapist Specialist will be responsible for leading the development and provision of services related to complex lower limb disorders within the musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy service. This will involve working alongside the wider surgical, medical, and nursing teams to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the advancement of physiotherapy practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate evidence-informed patient care and share knowledge with other staff members to support and develop physiotherapy best practice.
  • Manage a physiotherapy clinical caseload of predominantly orthopaedic outpatients with complex lower limb conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with senior clinicians to deliver, coordinate, and evaluate the MSK physiotherapy service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service development projects and research initiatives.
Requirements
  • Physiotherapy degree or equivalent.
  • HPC registration.
  • MSc or completed masters modules or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Experience at Band 7 level in musculoskeletal outpatients.
  • Experience of managing complex lower limb disorders and surgery.
  • Highly specialist knowledge and experience of a wide range of approaches to the management of patients with complex musculoskeletal problems.
