Health and Safety Advisor

Located in Chesterfield, this role offers a salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Health and Safety Advisor to join a leading consultancy project in the construction and solar industry.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage health and safety on client construction projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Create and implement effective safety procedures, including Toolbox Talks and H&S meetings.
  • Oversee subcontractors and investigate accidents when necessary.
  • Review risk assessments and method statements from contractors.
  • Supervise high-risk activities and conduct emergency drills.
  • Monitor permitting requirements and conduct fire risk assessments (if qualified).
Key Requirements
  • Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate and a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in construction and civils.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have strong health and safety knowledge, particularly in inspections and technical disciplines.
