3 days ago
Marie Curie, the UK's leading end-of-life charity, is seeking a Fundraising Development Manager to join its North Wales region. This dynamic role will play a crucial part in our mission to close the gap in end-of-life care for those who need it most.
About Marie CurieWe are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country. Our research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life care, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they're likely to die from.
The RoleYou will support and guide individuals who raise funds and volunteer for Marie Curie in our communities, helping them reach their goals and, in turn, raise essential funds for our cause. As a Fundraising Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting fundraising groups with guidance from the Region's Fundraising Volunteer Development Manager;
- Executing an annual volunteer recruitment plan, including volunteer induction, training, and management;
- Building strong relationships with supporters, expanding the network of individuals, groups, and corporate partners;
- Representing Marie Curie confidently in various settings and supporting high-value event participants to achieve targets;
- Collaborating with local businesses, Marie Curie Retail staff, and other fundraising teams to support initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Able to provide excellent stewardship to supporters;
- Understand volunteer needs and motivations and develop them;
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and able to build good working relationships;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Able to prioritise, plan, and organise your workload effectively;
- Able to work to targets, plans, and budgets.
As a Marie Curie employee, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including:
- Flexible working arrangements;
- 25 days annual leave (exclusive of Bank Holidays);
- Marie Curie Group Personal Pension Scheme (we will match your contribution up to 7.5%);
- Loan schemes for bikes; computers, and season tickets;
- Continuous professional development opportunities;
- Industry-leading training programmes;
- Wellbeing and Employee Assistance Programmes;
- Enhanced bereavement, family-friendly, and sickness benefits;
- Access to Blue Light Card membership;
- Subsidised Eye Care.
We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and promotes equality. We welcome applications from candidates of diverse cultures, perspectives, and lived experiences.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those affected by end-of-life care. If you are passionate about fundraising and have a talent for building relationships, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
