Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and organized individual to join the Haematology team as a Personal Assistant. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the senior clinical team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and contributing to the team's success.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the complex diary of the Deputy Operations Manager and Senior Clinical Team, coordinating meetings, taking minutes, and ensuring they are fully prepared for meetings.
  • Act as a central point for communications for the senior team, handling all levels of stakeholders.
  • Work effectively and efficiently, identifying better ways of working and sharing ideas to improve service delivery and transformation.
  • Undertake duties including collection and distribution of post, photocopying, and faxing documents, printing and preparation of reports as required.
  • Work flexibly and provide cover for colleagues within the Division as needed.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Education to A level or NVQ level 3 Customer Services/Business Admin/ITQ or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment or reception service.
  • Secretarial and administrative experience, including minute-taking.
  • Experience of IT packages, including Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to research information and work within policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to produce accurate documents to a high standard.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in the NHS.
  • Experience of dealing with difficult and challenging situations.
