Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School in Yeovil. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The Role:
Assist students with physical disabilities
Utilise methods to help students access lesson content or regulate behaviour according to EHCPs or other support plans
Manage challenging behaviours
Professional Development Opportunities such as training and certification
Gain valuable classroom experience that can serve as a stepping stone for a career in teaching or other educational roles
Work Life Balance - enjoy the benefits of school holidays and fixed hours
Requirements:
Offer novel ways in engaging students of various learning needs, drawing on previous experience in working with children
Be someone who has a can-do attitude, with a variety of methods ready to help engage and regulate learners
Be helpful, with a drive to ensure every student can access lesson content
Be willing to complete a full registration with anzuk, including applying for a DBS and providing 2 full years of professional references
