Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-time Phlebotomist to join our established nursing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking blood samples by venepuncture from patients, as requested by the surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using venepuncture techniques.
  • Maintain and ensure effective use of consumable phlebotomy equipment.
  • Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Undertake all duties and responsibilities in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Comply with data protection legislation and other relevant regulations.
  • Work in a healthcare setting and travel between sites as required.
  • Hold a Certificate of Competency in Phlebotomy or be willing to undergo training.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours.
