We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager on the Acute Medical Short Stay Ward at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the ward manager in all aspects of leadership and management. This includes taking charge of the unit in the absence of the ward manager, managing staff and patient resources, and ensuring the smooth operation of the ward.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and want to progress your career in nursing leadership, we encourage you to apply.

Key requirements:

  • 1st Level Registered Nurse qualification (relevant to area of work)
  • Minimum of three years post-registration experience, of which two years should be as a senior band 5 Nurse or equivalent

About the role:

  • Salary: £43,041-£70,451 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Hours: Full-time, rotating shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
