Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Consultant to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our Geo Division, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating geotechnical and geo-environmental assignments, including desk studies, ground investigations, and risk assessments.

The Role:

As a Geotechnical Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating geotechnical and geo-environmental assignments, including desk studies, ground investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Acting as the focal point of contact with colleagues in the SW region, across the range of disciplines represented within Hydrock.
  • Contributing to work-winning and business development in the SW and representing Hydrock in client meetings.
  • Managing site investigation works in accordance with BS 5930 and 10175, ensuring health and safety compliance and accurate data collection.
  • Preparing high-quality factual reports covering environmental and geotechnical aspects, with clear interpretation supported by data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in geoenvironmental and geotechnical consultancy.
  • Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (BS 5930, 10175).
  • Proficient in project management, financial control, and client relationship management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
