A dynamic and forward-thinking construction consultancy based in the Southwest is seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical design and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.

About the Role
  • This full-time position involves providing expert geotechnical advice and support to the company's civil and structural departments.

You will be responsible for interpreting ground investigations, identifying potential risks, and developing practical solutions to mitigate these risks. Your expertise will ensure that projects are designed and constructed in accordance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Geotechnical Expertise: Provide expert geotechnical advice and guidance across a range of projects.
  • Design Development: Develop and implement geotechnical designs, taking into account site-specific conditions and project requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Educational Background: A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with geotechnical modules, is required.
  • Design Experience: Significant experience in geotechnical design, including writing geotechnical design reports and earth works specifications.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCad, Masterseries, SCIA Engineer, WALLAP, QGIS, Civils 3D, and Microsoft Office suite is essential.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and willingness to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry innovations and best practices.
