At Norths Collective, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Operations Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering day-to-day operational tasks to support our Private Client Teams and Investment Team.
This is a junior role within our team, and we are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow with us. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our operations team, as well as with external providers and third-party administrators, to ensure robust processes are in place and a high level of service is delivered to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities- Reconciliations of stock, cash, and trading activity between external custody, internal settlement book of records, and fund administrators.
- Daily monitoring and processing of fund deals in/out into core system to ensure Investment Team have up-to-date cash balances in their respective funds.
- Monitor failed trade settlement notices.
- Manage workflow queues and mailboxes.
- Liaising with colleagues in the wider group on investor-related queries and requests.
- Responsible for adhering to the operating procedures of the business as written and of providing enhancements and changes to the procedures as and when identified.
- Project work and non-BAU deliverables.
- 2-3 years working in relevant investment operational roles within a similar organization; Family Office, Investment Manager, Asset Manager, Wealth Manager, or Private Bank.
- Has obtained or is working towards IAQ or IMC qualifications.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel, and data analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Ability to use initiative and work independently.
- Planning & Organising: schedules and manages workload effectively, thinks ahead, sets plans to achieve goals.
- Drive & Nature: positive, proactive, and inquisitive nature. Not afraid to ask questions and challenge set processes and procedures.
- Communication Skills: highly skilled communicator in both a group environment and on a one-on-one level, communicates clearly and concisely, listens effectively, written communication is well presented.
- Accuracy, Quality & Productivity: delivers work of a high standard, output is accurate & error-free, productivity is satisfactory & consistent.
- Technical Knowledge: demonstrates required technical knowledge, understands the policies, processes, and systems in their area of expertise, keeps technical knowledge up to date.
- Action Orientated: takes prompt action and sees tasks through to completion, persists in effort to achieve results, takes responsibility for own actions.
