Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled scientist to lead the development, training, and fine-tuning of a large language model. The ideal candidate will have direct experience implementing large language models with interactive artificial intelligence and a strong background in natural language processing.

This position falls within our informatics team, which is a fast-growing team of diverse skill sets including data science, statistics, clinical informatics, and population health. The team supports advanced data queries, analyses, visualizations, and interactive platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a private, large language model based on both structured and text-based data inputs, integrating artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature, and contributing to data architecture review.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a large language model using structured and text-based data inputs
  • Integrate artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature
  • Contribute to data architecture review and support structural changes as needed
  • Support departmental process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in training and development of more junior team members

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years direct, post-graduate experience implementing a LLM or PhD dissertation implementing a LLM
  • Advanced computer programming skills (python or R)
  • Analytical thinker with great attention to detail
