Private Client Tax Manager Job Description

TPF Recruitment is proud to represent a leading independent firm of chartered accountants renowned for their excellence and client-centric approach. Our client is seeking a talented Private Client Tax Manager to join their dynamic team at their Horsham office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and trusts. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters.
  • Tax Compliance and Advisory: Oversee the preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation. Advise clients on a wide range of tax issues, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax planning.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients and attract new business. Participate in networking events and contribute to marketing initiatives to enhance the firm's profile in the marketplace.
  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the development and implementation of the firm's tax strategy. Collaborate with other departments to provide a holistic service to clients and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in private client tax, preferably within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations.
  • Proven track record of managing a diverse client portfolio and delivering high-quality tax advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
