We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at TDA Telecoms. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the production of monthly applications for payment, ensuring adherence to contractual timelines and terms.
- Provide expert commercial guidance and advice to site teams and management on all project-related matters.
- Draft and manage NEC3 subcontracts, ensuring clear communication with the supply chain.
- Prepare and assess internal contract valuations and project costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Compile and present monthly cost and value reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Foster collaboration and effective working relationships with project managers, managing QS, and engineering disciplines.
- Support Contracts Managers with commercial advice and guidance, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.
- Manage projects to maximize opportunities and minimize risks, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Strong understanding of NEC contracts and their application in commercial environments.
- Relevant degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as construction, engineering, or quantity surveying.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and office packages, with experience in producing detailed reports and presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from £10k to £10m in value.
- Excellent commercial awareness, drive, and self-motivation, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in producing detailed reports and presentations, with a strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Desirable: Relevant professional qualification, such as RICS or CICES.
