Leonardo, a leading defence technology company, is seeking a talented Power Supply Design Lead to join its team in Edinburgh.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of cutting-edge Power Supplies for the Eurofighter Typhoon and other Defence projects. As a key member of the Power Supply Delivery Team (PSDT), you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including half days on Fridays, flexible working hours, gym memberships, and an award-winning pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of advanced Power Supplies for Defence projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership to support the development of new technologies.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience in the design, manufacture, test, and integration of PSUs and/or Power Systems. Ideally, you will possess a minimum of HND in Engineering or Systems or related technical discipline.

You should have knowledge in the following areas:

  • Power Supply design and development.
  • Electronic system design and development.
  • PSU topology analysis and design.
