Job Title: Payroll & Finance Administrator

Location: Chester City Centre - hybrid working

Remuneration: £24k-£26k

Contract Details: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 9-5:30 (possible late working on a Wednesday/Thursday, time back provided)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Raising invoices and managing financial transactions
  • Preparing and processing payroll data, including importing and keying information
  • Resolving payroll queries and providing excellent customer service
  • Liaising with external agencies and stakeholders
  • Extracting and analyzing payroll reports for balancing checks
  • Updating and maintaining financial records, including purchase ledger and debtor ledger
  • Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring accurate financial data
  • Conducting payroll reconciliations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Requirements:
  • Ability to work with speed and accuracy, with a keen eye for detail
  • Reliability and a self-starting attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Enjoys a fast-paced, busy working environment and can work well under tight deadlines
  • Vast knowledge of Excel, including formulas and formatting, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a financial context
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and payroll/umbrella pay is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided

Adecco UK Limited is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join their finance team as a Payroll & Finance Administrator. As a vital member of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processing and financial administration.

In this role, you will handle various responsibilities, including raising invoices, preparing payroll data, resolving queries, and liaising with external agencies. You will also be responsible for updating Quickbooks, conducting reconciliations, producing reports, and providing general administrative support.

To succeed in this role, you must possess a keen attention to detail, work with speed and accuracy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your knowledge of Excel, including formulas and formatting, will be essential in fulfilling your duties effectively.
