Fabric Technician

About the Role:

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a skilled Fabric Technician to join their team at Kings Cross. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and an understanding of most building fabric duties, including plumbing, painting, and carpentry. Working with the maintenance team, the Fabric Technician will be responsible for carrying out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance across large commercial office sites.

Key Responsibilities:

The Fabric Technician will be required to:

• Deliver excellent customer service and respond to customer complaints
• Carry out fabric duties, including touching up paint work, tightening hinges, installing and repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor repairs to cabinets and desks, and assembling small equipment
• Undertake some plumbing activities, including clearing blockages, attending to burst pipes, replacing components, and servicing systems
• Paint and decorate as required
• Assist with office moves, including furniture arrangement and minor office reconfigurations
• Liaise with the contract management team to ensure smooth communication and effective project delivery
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• An understanding of most building fabric duties, including plumbing, painting, and carpentry
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic PC literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Health and safety knowledge and experience

What We Offer:

Candidates selected for this role will receive a competitive salary of up to £38,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave, and the opportunity for internal and external training and development. The company also offers a company pension scheme and overtime opportunities.
