About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to lead our Asda Express stores in North Yorkshire and Teesside. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence across your portfolio of stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Convenience Store Managers to deliver exceptional service and operational results.
  • Ensure your stores are number one locally, evidenced through profitable growth and delivery of clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KRAs).
  • Implement and embed change initiatives and new ways of working, while maintaining a safe, legal, and compliant environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide weekend cover on a rota, working regionally across our retail regions.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven leadership and coaching experience in a retail or convenience store environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness of the local market, competition, and trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and execute plans first time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with others and build strong relationships.
