About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to lead our Convenience Store operations in North Yorkshire and Teesside. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence across our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Convenience Store Managers to deliver exceptional service, colleague engagement, and operational performance.
  • Ensure your portfolio of stores is number one locally, evidenced through profitable growth and delivery of clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KRAs).
  • Implement and embed change initiatives and new ways of working, while ensuring all stores operate in a safe, legal, and compliant manner.
  • Role model and champion the Asda values and our Leading Asda behaviours, setting high expectations for the leadership team.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with considerable knowledge of store operations, multi-site, store processes, and policy, as well as a commercial awareness of the local market, competition, and trends within the region.

You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable to and lead from the front our change programmes, and have an eye for detail and an ability to execute plans first time.

This role requires you to have excellent communication skills, be able to engage with others, build good relationships across large teams, and have influence.
