Job Title: Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and treatments to patients in our adult inpatient wards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and treatments to patients in our adult inpatient wards.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Supervise and support junior psychologists and other team members in the delivery of psychological services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements and changes.
  • Provide consultation and supervision to team colleagues in the delivery of psychologically informed treatments.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings.
  • Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues.
  • Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of complex multi-media materials suitable for presentations within public, professional and academic settings.
